Slack Integration

Connect ClarityQ to Slack so your team can receive data insights, scheduled reports, and notifications directly in Slack channels.

Prerequisites

  • A ClarityQ account with access to Settings
  • A Slack workspace where you have permission to install apps

Connecting Slack to ClarityQ

1

Navigate to Integrations

In the ClarityQ app, click Settings from the sidebar menu. Then select Integrations from the settings navigation panel on the left.
2

Add ClarityQ to Slack

On the Integrations page, find the Slack card and click the Add ClarityQ to Slack button. You will be redirected to Slack’s authorization page.
3

Authorize in Slack

On the Slack authorization page:
  1. Select the Slack workspace you want to connect from the dropdown in the top-right corner.
  2. Review the permissions ClarityQ is requesting.
  3. Click Allow to grant ClarityQ access to your workspace.
If your Slack workspace restricts app installations, you may need your Slack workspace admin to approve ClarityQ before you can proceed.
4

Confirm the Connection

After authorizing, you will be redirected back to ClarityQ. A success notification will confirm that ClarityQ has been added to your Slack workspace. The Slack card will now display a Connected status along with your workspace name.

Managing a Connected Workspace

Once connected, the Slack card on the Integrations page shows your workspace name and two options:
  • Reconnect — Re-authorize ClarityQ with Slack (useful if permissions need to be refreshed or if you want to switch to a different workspace).
  • Disconnect — Revoke ClarityQ’s access to your Slack workspace. You will be asked to confirm before disconnecting. This stops all Slack deliveries for your organization.

Permissions Requested

When you authorize ClarityQ, the following Slack permissions are granted:
PermissionPurpose
Post messages to channelsDeliver insights, reports, and notifications to selected channels
View basic workspace infoIdentify the connected workspace
View channels and membersAllow you to choose which channels receive ClarityQ messages
ClarityQ does not read your Slack messages. The integration is used exclusively to send updates and notifications from ClarityQ into Slack.
